Today's Question is:

What would you give your mother for a 50th birthday present?
(My mom's birthday is just over a week away)

My mother is going to be 60 in June. I honestly do not remember what I bought her for her 50th. I know this time around we are trying to do a special party for her with family. In addition to that I want to make her a special digital photo album/scrap book with photos of her and her grandchildren.

Good luck :)

I like the digital scrapbook idea. Or have a DVD made (you can get one made at onetrue media) with pictures of the family, so she see them on TV.

Happy birthday to your Mom! ;o)

My mom turned 50 last February and I gave her an eternal circle necklace from T&CO. She loved it.

Good luck finding the perfect gift for your mom.

Happy Friday!

The DVD thing is a great idea, but I don't know if you can get that done in a week.

How about a mother/grandmothers necklace or ring? With stones for every one of her kids/grandkids?

um...i put together a bunch of photos, scanned them, and put it in a hard back book....
...and they were tearing down her old highschool, which she had also been the student body pres-class of 1969, so i went and got one of the bricks and put on a little plaque with her name of it...

can you tell that i am all about "keeping the memories"?!?

ps feeling better???

My mom just had her 50th last year. I threw her a big party with all of her friends and then I made her a gift out of pictures of all her grandkids. Good luck!

I need this advice for a 60th B'Day gift for a friend. As for your mom, pictures or a necklace seem to be the best. Hey, I have a great giveaway for a personalized necklace, stop by!

Uhh... I really have no idea. I like the scrapbook idea I guess. I don't have a close enough relationship with my mother to answer that from experience though.

What does she like? I bought my mom a nice purse for hers!

I took her out to the nicest fanciest shmanciest restaurant I could afford. That was 10 years ago when I had just graduated from college. For her 60th my sister threw her a huge party at mom's house in her backyard. She LOVED it.

Great question! Something personal and significant. Not knowing your mother, I'm not sure what to suggest.

Goodness that is a hard question lol Anything with pictures.. anything personal.. is always nice. Or you could just give a cruise lol I know my mom would love a sports car lol

I remember buying my mom a lovely cake when she turned 50. I also gave her a photo collage.

I don're remember what I gave my mom for her 50th, but if I could get her anything for her next birthday, it would probably be a maid service! She keeps her house tidy, but her schedule is so crammed (taking care of other people) that she needs the time she spends cleaning to do other more enjoyable things!!

I did a One True Media slideshow on my blog (she reads it) to her favorite song.

Another favorite present years ago- I made a little "Thank You" book with one-line thank you's (Thank you for taking us to the circus each year - Thank you for not letting me go away with Janie's teenage sister - Thank you for teaching me the guitar etc)
